Ok, so my first example of a Lens Turbo on a Panasonic GH3 definitely showed an increase in Field of View. The first tests were purposely setup to show an increase in Exposure, and may have had some lens flare on the overexposed image.
Here's a simple test in a controlled environment shot with a Rokinon 85mm T/1.5 Cine Lens @T/5.6. One is shot with the basic FotoDiox adapter and the other is with the Lens Turbo adapter. I pushed in to attempt to simulate the same framing and keep the chart up to the corners. This adapter does go soft towards the corners, but you decide if it's usable for your needs.

Also corner softness make sense for another reason, as the adapter without lens is not giving you the soft corners of the full frame, they are cropped. and you probably moved your camera closer to get the same perspective.
It would be better to see it against the fullframe image to find out the actual corners on that lens and then compare!!

Not quite agree with the test ..
a) for portrait work, it should be tested wide open. yes the corners will get softer with lens turbo, but for this application, it will be good with softer corner IMHO
b) for landscape work, it should be tested one stop smaller aperture on turbo adapted setup. Well actually I would like to see it really stopped down to f/9 before inspecting the corners.

But with video, can you notice this sharpness?
Is there a version with a tripod mount? (Or a way to include one?)

The lens turbo should be sharper. That's one of the benefits of a focal reducer. To really judge the adapter, it'll need to be compared against the gold standard speed booster. But this looks pretty nice for 1/3 the price.

sorry if this seems dumb, but if i put an Ai lens on there, how would i control the aperture? Does the lensTurbo have an aperture ring like the speedbooster[except without markings]?

To me, if you really pixel peep, the far right and left quarters are a touch softer on the Mitakon vs no-glass adapter, but the center IS sharper. And the sharpeness/softness is consistent from top to bottom.

Lens Turbo looks better. Thanks for this post! I just ordered Lens Turbo. I'll try with my Panasonic GM1. Only concern is that how Lens Turbo can hold weight of lens, since GM1 is so tiny...

Good post, but what I'm more interested in is how things looks at T1.5 for the Rokinon lenses. I'd like to see what the added sharpness of the focal reducer does in that range, since T1.5 isn't usable on the lens alone.

These results are not bad at all. The lensturbo is sharper in the center and in the top corners, the standard adapter is sharper in the bottom corners. Which means that the fotodiox adapter has some vertical tilt and is not a good reference for comparison, but also that the adapter is good enough that the difference can depend on how good the no-glass adapter is.
