While the guys from SatoStudios setup a shot to catch the sunrise behind some of these trucks sporting American Force rims, I decided to throw the new Panasonic LX100 on the ground and ran the internal Time Lapse setting. Once you end your timelapse, it can automatically create a video file for you. Here's a sample from the camera.
I'm still lovin' everything about this camera, features, and quality. Definitely one to have in the bag for the traveler who wants the best photo and video camera in a compact system.

Post author@Johnnie Behiri - As I restart my camera I don't notice any changes to any of the settings. I probably cycle the camera 100 times throughout the day as I want to conserve battery life.

Thanks.

Post author@Dan - This was shot with manual settings and the camera put the time-lapse together afterwards. The exposure didn't change much and everything happened in just a few minutes.
I think the LX100 could be used as a B camera, but it doesn't have the flat profile settings of the GH4 and the video files can't be processed as much in post as the GH4.
Dan
Emm, what settings do you use when shooting a timelapse like this that will change exposure so radically? Aperture priority? Shutter priority? Manual?
Secondly, do you thing the LX100 would work seamlessly as a second camera with the GH4?
Thanks.

Hi there.
When switching the camera "off" then "on" again, it "forget" all the last settings and switching on in its default mode. Any one else can confirm he/she has the same problem?
Thanks!

Will it save the photos in RAW ?
leo
Nice!
I preordered a LX 100 and im waiting anxiously.
Can you recommend me please a good and cheap stabilizer for this camera? Thanks!
Emm
Post author@TikTak - It saves all the pictures on the card, so you can make your own timelapse in software and because it's photos (not video) then you can create a 4K project, or even 5K project if you wanted (though you couldn't play it on YouTube).
TikTak
can it do 4K timelapse as well?
Scotty
that was awesome!
