With slow motion up to 960fps, 4K Internal Recording, SLOG2 Gamma, and a fast Carl Zeiss 24-200mm f/2.8 Lens built in image stabilized zoom lens, the Sony RX10 Mark II sounds like a beast of a camera.
I'm interested in testing out the SLOG2 on this camera to see if it will hold up as a solid B Camera alongside an A7s. The camera is currently in stock and available at B&H (here).

Post author@Naim - Yes, the standard charger that comes with the camera is a Micro USB. You plug the whole camera to the wall. But the battery is a Sony type and i'm sure you can find an external charger for it. These things will definitely need spare batteries if you want to shoot all day.

Quick question. I heard that to charge the battery, one has to connect the charger with the camera. There is no way to charge the battery without the camera. Is that correct?

No 24fps in 4k?

I have two Sony RX10's and they are easily my favorite cameras. Great lens that produces fantastic images. Will be selling one of 'em to get the new RX10 II.
Can't wait to play around with slow motion. 🙂

I have the Sony RX-10, Before this I had a GH3, I love my RX-10, It is a very good camera, especially Video,, Yes, you lose some SDF due to sensor size, but what a solid camera.I don't miss my GH3, Was going to get a GH4 for 4K, but I have just ordered this RX-10 II Just, as a side note, The Sony RX10-RX-10 II, are almost the exact same weight as a GH4 with the 12-35mm lens, which allows me to use it with my Allsteady 5 Stabilizer, which is pre-factory set for a GH4, it balances very well, I can even extend the focal length out and re-balance fast for a different lens, faster than having to remove and change lens's
Really looking forward to comparing the two!
Emm: Have you ever used the RX-10? This is a great camera!

Strong sensors on these. Can't wait to see the A7rII and the A7sII when it (presumably) appears.
